The Mid-Autumn Festival, a time of moonlit splendor and delectable mooncakes, is a cherished tradition in both Singapore and Malaysia. In 2023, Mapletree Media had the privilege of collaborating with 16 esteemed hotels across both countries to celebrate this festival in grand style. Our collaboration involved the creation of captivating videos and engaging articles that showcased the exquisite mooncakes and unique offerings of each hotel.
The challenge was clear: to bring the essence of the Mid-Autumn Festival to life, highlighting not just the mooncakes but also the creativity and artistry of each hotel. Our task was to craft compelling video content and articles that would resonate with viewers, enticing them to explore these luxurious establishments and savour the delectable mooncakes on offer.
METHODOLOGY: CREATING AN IMMERSIVE JOURNEY
Concept & Storyboarding
Our journey began with an in-depth exploration of each hotel’s mooncake offerings and the cultural significance of the Mid-Autumn Festival. We then conceptualized a unique narrative for each hotel, designed to capture the essence of their offerings. Storyboarding played a pivotal role in visualizing how each video and article would unfold, ensuring that every scene and shot contributed to the overarching narrative.
With the concept and storyboard in place, our production team swung into action. We meticulously captured the exquisite mooncakes, the hotels’ elegant ambiance, and the culinary craftsmanship behind each creation. State-of-the-art equipment and technology were employed to ensure that every frame was a visual delight.
Editing & Video Content
The heart of our project lay in the editing suite, where we carefully pieced together the footage to create captivating long-form videos. These videos served as visual journeys that transported viewers into the world of each hotel. They featured stunning visuals, evocative music, and seamless transitions that added to the immersive experience.
From the long-form videos, we curated shorter, attention-grabbing snippets tailored for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. These bite-sized videos retained the essence of the mooncake offerings and the cultural significance of the Mid-Autumn Festival, captivating viewers in under a minute.
