With the growth of many online shopping and ecommerce websites in Singapore, HABA, a large Japanese cosmetic and skincare brand decided to launch their own ecommerce website. Their objective was clear – have a seamless shopping. Experience between their online ecommerce shop and retail outlets and encourage spending. Not only did we achieve this but we also integrated their CRM with the woo commerce shopping cart to increase loyalty with their customers.

Their site was unfriendly to mobile users. Few sales were churning in, a CRM system that they had spent significantly on, was not integrated with their online shop. Their site was also notoriously difficult to update and their social media posts needed a fresh new look and copywriting to increase engagement and eye balling.

approach

Mapletree Media started the process with a complete website audit that included the back end and front end framework, followed by a social media audit. After having held several meetings with the senior management team, we created a digital brand & content strategy. This included mock-ups for the home and inner pages, social media pages and also Search Engine Optimisation.

  • We created a fully integrated e-commerce and Point of Sale (POS) platform to ensure seamless online shopping for HABA customers within 3 months !
  • Modules were created for shopper points to be credited and redeemed online or vice versa from their retail shops
  • The site was made fully mobile responsive with user experience being a leading objective.
  • Promotional Banners & Coupons were created for ad hoc promotions for which the shopper can take avail from free shipping, free samples on check out and more.

Impact

Our HABA website needed a complete makeover . We also needed it to be full mobile responsive, e-commerce enabled together with integration with our CRM system so our customers can earn loyalty points both at the physical store and at our site. We chose Mapletree Media due to their expertise in the Beauty field and having created many other e-shopping sites, we felt they had an edge over the other agencies. We are pleased we went ahead with them ! After having done an initial brand audit of our old site and our social media, they guided us through the creative process, put together a communications plan and created a beautiful mock-ups which they then executed for us. Importantly the shopping experience is fast, easy and intuitive. They accommodated to our needs, coordinated with our CRM vendor for the integration and kept us updated on all developments. We appreciate all the effort they put in on a big project such as this.
